IPD
Definition of IPD:
Medical tourism or health tourism is traveling to a foreign country with the aim of receiving therapeutic and health services. Various factors give rise to this type of tourism, some of which include lack of specific types of treatment methods, higher costs of treatment and health services, and lack of access to modern health technology in one’s own country. On the other hand, considering that the costs of medical services in Iran are more reasonable as compared to other countries in the region and, at the same time, the medical and nursing services are offered at an internationally acceptable quality, many patients tend to travel to Iran in order to receive therapeutic and health services. In fact, these factors have made our country one of the most important destinations of health tourism in the region.
